Your First Appointment
Completion of Forms: Please go to our Forms and Patient Portal screen and complete the forms necessary for us to check you in. Bring this with you to your first appointment. This will help your check in process to run smoothly.
If you are unable to complete our forms prior to your first visit, please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete them in our office.
Pertinent Medical Records & Imaging: Bring all pertinent medical records and prior imaging results to your appointment.
X-rays, MRI’s, CT’s and Ultrasounds
We have digital X-ray available in our office. Work done at Mount Baker Imaging is available for viewing online by our physicians. However, if you have any X-rays or MRI’s, etc. done at other facilities, or outside of Whatcom County, please hand-carry these studies to your appointment.
Please monitor your medications. Contact your pharmacy for a refill before you run out. Your pharmacy will fax a prescription refill request to our office. Please note that we require a 48-hour advance request for all refills and do not refill prescriptions on weekends, so please plan yourself accordingly.
Our physicians are often called to the hospital or emergency room for critically injured patients. We regret the need to re-schedule patients, but emergency surgeries are part of an Orthopaedic Surgeon's daily schedule.
We endeavor to return all phone calls in a prompt efficient manner. In order for our patients to get the complete attention from our nursing staff during their office visit, all phone calls will be returned either during our lunch break or at the end of our clinic day.
During regular office hours, an emergency call will be handled immediately. In the event of an emergency that occurs when our office is closed, our answering service is available at (360) 715-2433. The answering service will contact the physician on call to assist you.
